01 · Overview

Where it is & what it feels like

Windsor Park is in East-Central Austin, bounded roughly by I-35, US 290 and Manor Road, about a mile from Mueller. It grew in the 1950s and 1960s as a neighborhood of single-story ranch homes.

Today it's popular with buyers who want a central location, a bigger yard and no HOA. Bartholomew District Park, Dottie Jordan Park and the Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt give it plenty of green space.

What you'll find here

The housing stock

Mostly single-story 1950s–60s ranch homes with carports or one-car garages, many updated. A typical home is about 3 bed / 2 bath and 1,500 sq ft on about 0.2 acre.

There's some newer construction near Harris Elementary, and bigger lots leave room for additions or an ADU (check city rules).
